REQUIREMENTS
FOR EMERGENCY TRAVEL CERTIFICATE (ETC)
The
applicant must forward the following items:
Police
Report on Loss of Passport in Canada (if Applicable);
Police Report of non-criminality in Canada (except for Minors);
Application Letter Detailing need for an ETC;
Photocopy of Birth Certificate or Sworn Affidavit of Age (Age
Declaration);
Photocopy of Lost Passport (if any) or any documentation from
Nigeria;
Photocopy to Flight ticket (Destination for Nigeria only);
Two (2) Passport size Photographs endorsed at the back;
A non-refundable processing fee of Canadian $70.00 (Seventy Canadian
dollars) in Money Order or Certified Cheque payable to Nigeria
High Commission, Ottawa;
Enclose a self-addressed Priority Courier Envelope to return your
ETC Certificate;
The applicant may be required to attend an interview, if necessary.
2. It is very important to note that an Emergency Travel Certificate
is only good for a single journey to Nigeria, and must be surrendered
to Nigerian Immigration at the point of entry.
